# Originality and claim-boundary review

## Selected work

- **Title:** *Your Pilot Passed. Your Portfolio Hasn't: A Facility Cohort Gate for Multi-Location Self-Storage*
- **Proposed slug:** `facility-cohort-release-gate-self-storage`
- **Thesis:** An approved portfolio change should advance through deliberately selected facility cohorts only after the prior cohort meets explicit entry, deployment, observation, stop, recovery and reconciliation gates. A successful install or one strong site does not establish portfolio readiness.
- **Practical tool:** `facility-cohort-release-gate.csv`, a 33-column register with one blank operator template, three fictional site rows and one fictional cohort-decision row.
- **Fictional teaching example:** Granite Loop Storage, GL-01, GL-02, GL-03, MX-INTAKE-004, all people, roles, systems, timestamps, evidence links, changes and results are invented.

## Duplicate preflight

- The `2026-09-05/midday-systems` directory did not exist before this run. The September 5 morning lane was already complete with the unrelated sharps-response article. The September 4 evening lane was complete with the unrelated AI dead-letter recovery article. No September 5 evening directory or article existed during preflight.
- The current Authority Control Room files contained 46 calendar records, 75 editorial/media records, 357 submission records, 342 published-asset records and 550 evidence records. Exact title, slug, fictional-company and tool-filename searches found no collision.
- Active and submitted premises were reviewed, including the IFMA FMJ comparison contract, Inside Self-Storage event-bus manuscript, Facilities Management Advisor operational-memory contract, Commercial Property Executive change-impact adaptation, Modern Storage Media facility-identity cutover and oversight-load article. None uses this cohort-entry, staged observation, stop-and-expand thesis or tool.
- The closest owned work is *The Facility Change-Impact Graph*, which maps downstream operational dependencies before a release. This article begins after one change is approved and governs which facilities may receive it, how an operating observation is bounded and what evidence permits or prevents expansion.
- *The Multi-Location Policy Compiler* turns one operating policy into site-specific controls. This article does not compile or interpret policy; it governs the progression of one frozen change version through facility cohorts.
- The live Jared authority sitemap returned HTTP 200 with 57 canonical URLs, SHA-256 `0f20d2608a250cebaebcfee7b3e2be67ec2aaa8c7166e30b4e2755084f624309`, and zero selected-slug matches. The live modSTORAGE post sitemap returned HTTP 200 with 139 canonical URLs, SHA-256 `90584dc7dac4d31a0ae2ab9f008d942e981bd6f6dd0b3c169674eecd77b6f06d`, and zero selected-slug matches.
- The proposed authority-site canonical and non-selected modSTORAGE canonical both returned HTTP 404 before package creation. The public WordPress exact-slug REST query returned `[]`.
- Exact web searches for the final title, subtitle and slug returned no results. An earlier working title was discarded after search results showed the phrase “evidence, not optimism” used generically elsewhere. No claim is made to have invented canary releases, phased deployment, control groups or stage gates.

## Local originality screen

- The bounded editorial-execution corpus contained 357 other Markdown files after excluding this article, dependency directories, Git data, compiled distributions and build output.
- Zero normalized sentence matches of 14 or more words were found.
- The article contained 1,773 unique normalized six-word shingles. Maximum overlap was three shingles, or 0.169%, against *The Five-Layer Operating Context Stack*. The shared language is generic governance phrasing, not a reused title, thesis, example or tool.
- Generic-language review found no fabricated quotation, fake customer testimonial, `in this article`, `delve`, `game-changer`, `seamless`, `transformative`, `as an AI`, `let's dive`, `it is important to note` or `in today's fast-paced` phrasing.

## Claim boundaries

- No real facility, employee, customer, vendor, maintenance event, software system, pilot, deployment, incident, release, rollback, performance result, customer-service effect, revenue effect, occupancy effect, adoption, certification, compliance result, award, coverage or recognition is claimed.
- The article does not claim that Jared, modSTORAGE or Facily.ai uses the method or tool.
- A site-level observation is not represented as a statistically valid portfolio sample, independent study, benchmark or proof of causation.
- Approval, preparation, deployment, observation, reconciliation and acceptance remain separate states. A receipt is not an operating readback, and one accepted site is not portfolio acceptance.
- NIST SP 800-128 and SP 800-53 support security-focused configuration disciplines only. They do not establish a self-storage requirement or validate the article method.
- Google SRE canary guidance concerns software services. Its use is limited to the transferable concepts of partial, time-bounded release and evaluation before expansion.
- The GAO Green Book governs federal entities. Nonfederal use is optional; it does not create a private self-storage standard.
- The tool is an adaptable operating register, not legal, safety, cybersecurity, privacy, accounting or regulatory advice. It should link to controlled evidence and should not collect unnecessary customer, employee, payment, credential, security or medical data.

## Assistance, imagery and state

- Research synthesis, drafting and editorial QA were AI-assisted. Legitimate authorship, source, ownership and assistance disclosures are preserved.
- Governed image 028 is disclosed as a Jared-owned AI-generated editorial illustration, not documentary evidence. It was visually reviewed and copied byte-for-byte from the high-resolution master.
- No author portrait was used. The approved navy-blazer v2 portrait was not needed, and the rejected black-turtleneck portrait was not used.
- **Truthful state:** publication-ready local draft assigned only to Jared's personal authority site. No publisher handoff, repository change, CMS draft, submission, schedule, publication, canonical activation, search submission, crawling, indexing, ranking, coverage or recognition occurred.
