# Originality and claim-boundary review

## Selected work

- **Title:** *A Dead-Letter Queue Is Not a Resolution: Recovering Failed AI Work in Self-Storage*
- **Proposed slug:** `dead-letter-queue-not-resolution-self-storage-ai`
- **Thesis:** A dead-letter queue contains failed technical work but does not resolve the underlying operating obligation. Safe recovery preserves the original packet, distinguishes failure classes, checks current intent and authority, bounds replay and reconciles any possible business effect.
- **Practical tool:** `ai-dead-letter-recovery-register.csv`, a 40-field template with one blank row and five explicitly fictional teaching records covering transient delivery, deterministic identity failure, policy denial, ambiguous provider effect and unavailable governing readback.
- **Fictional example:** North Hollow Storage and every facility, unit, system, message, person, timestamp, action, decision and outcome described in the scenario or tool are invented.

## Duplicate preflight

- The `2026-09-04/evening-ai-architecture` directory did not exist before this run. No September 4 morning or midday daily-editorial directory existed during preflight, and neither other lane's automation memory recorded a September 4 package. Exactly one evening article was created.
- The earlier candidate *One Decision, Five Clocks* was rejected before drafting because its cross-source freshness treatment would crowd the complete Temporal Authority Envelope paper. No version of that candidate remains in this package.
- Recent evening articles cover score calibration, alert-to-work-order handoff, reversibility, agent-command arbitration, content boundaries, pre-execution authority and whole-path versioning. The selected recovery thesis begins after a record has failed processing and governs quarantine, disposition and safe re-entry.
- Closest governed works were screened explicitly. *When Automation Should Stop* defines stop conditions and an exception ledger; *The Facility Event Spine* defines event roles; *Designing a Human Review Queue* governs review admission and capacity; *Rollback Is Not Undo* governs compensation; and *One Facility, Two Agents* governs concurrent command authority. None supplies the selected failure taxonomy, quarantine lanes, no-replay disposition or 40-field dead-letter recovery register.
- Current Authority Control Room readback covered 46 calendar records (SHA-256 `9f18ed50f4f846239c051262ea42579dfca478331d9ec4c129307af715c0b6ac`), 75 editorial/media records (`efdb48315eee013304090d7f6a55a515fc4f968e531c117a64c1520f3077daee`), 357 submission records (`f559a5e00181b04bdb4b37c6b35526b0f5052e220ab7b66fff2581f67c0529c0`), 342 published-asset records (`6be584267496d884c0ed3f19ff7c3423d7c7255f3ce8c1f8b67f3d90e7d11b4e`) and 550 evidence records (`55449fdace3f2aca3af5b98a2648f5b45ffba82ec7ee0d4afc84767b13d77dcf`). None contained the exact title, slug, North Hollow scenario, tool filename, redrive thesis or assigned manuscript premise.
- The live Jared sitemap returned HTTP 200 with 57 canonical URLs and SHA-256 `effe26fbd0bbb898814c323906dde691f95fe4c5d3f5c8e4350ef5ce72f23e81`. The live modSTORAGE post sitemap returned HTTP 200 with 139 canonical URLs and SHA-256 `fe0a85a05ad2f43f7cd663b38047b75d83a0f6d66885df7e0d8090745feb39d1`. Neither contained the selected slug.
- The proposed authority-site canonical returned HTTP 404 before package creation. Exact web searches for the title, slug and tool filename returned no exact match. Search results did surface generic 2026 technical commentary using related “isolation is not resolution” language. The package therefore makes no claim to inventing dead-letter queues or the broad containment-versus-recovery idea; its distinct work is the self-storage operating method, failure taxonomy, fictional example and tool.

## Local originality screen

- The bounded editorial-execution corpus included 342 other Markdown files after excluding this package, dependency directories, Git data, compiled distributions, build output and preserved archives.
- Zero normalized body-sentence matches of 14 or more words were found.
- The article contained 2,006 unique normalized six-word shingles. The maximum overlap with another file was two shingles, or 0.100%, against *The Five-Layer Operating Context Stack*. The shared language was generic operating-architecture phrasing rather than a reused thesis, example or tool.
- Generic-language scanning found no use of `in this article`, `delve`, `leverage`, `game-changer`, `seamless`, `transformative`, `as an AI`, `let's dive`, `it is important to note`, `in today's fast-paced`, `unlock the power`, `navigate the complexities`, `real-world example` or `imagine a world`.

## Claim boundaries

- The article does not claim a real dead-letter queue, error, facility, employee, customer, unit, access event, work order, provider, incident, deployment, policy decision, replay, correction, service level or result.
- It does not claim that Jared, modSTORAGE or Facily.ai operates the proposed architecture or achieved reliability, safety, customer-service, revenue, occupancy, adoption, performance, certification, award, coverage or recognition from it.
- North Hollow Storage is explicitly fictional. The tool's hashes, identifiers, systems, people, timestamps, actions and outcomes are teaching data only.
- Broker acceptance, retry, dead-lettering, redrive, provider receipt, execution, governing readback and business closure remain distinct states.
- Amazon SQS and Azure Service Bus documentation supports vendor-specific DLQ and redrive mechanics only. It does not validate the article's self-storage method or prove an implementation.
- CloudEvents v1.0.2 supports the cited event-envelope attributes. It does not establish domain semantics, processing success, authority, completeness, ordering or safe replay.
- NIST AI RMF 1.0 and NIST AI 600-1 are voluntary, cross-sector risk-management references. The current NIST page says AI RMF 1.0 is being revised. Neither source certifies the method or supplies a prescriptive dead-letter architecture.
- The recovery register is an adaptable operating tool, not a security standard, incident-response plan, legal opinion, provider contract, retention schedule or authorization to process customer, payment, access or employee data.

## Assistance, imagery and rights

- AI assistance supported research synthesis, drafting and editorial QA. Legitimate source, authorship, image ownership and assistance disclosures were preserved.
- Governed image 060 is disclosed as a Jared-owned AI-generated editorial illustration, not documentary evidence. It was visually reviewed and copied byte-for-byte from the high-resolution source.
- Prior image use in the August 29 semantic-firewall package is disclosed. No prior title, body, scenario or practical tool is reused.
- No author portrait was used. The approved navy-blazer v2 portrait was not needed, and the rejected black-turtleneck portrait was not used.

**Truthful state:** Publication-ready local draft assigned only to Jared's personal authority site. No publisher handoff, repository change, CMS draft, submission, schedule, publication, canonical activation, search submission, crawling, indexing, ranking, coverage or recognition occurred in this run.
